From the beautiful West coast of Ireland, via 3rd Level Education in Dublin – UCD (University College Dublin – English/French Literature & Philosophy, BA (Hons)) through a career in Trade Finance Banking (Luxembourg) & IT Banking Consultancy (Dublin & San Francisco), I returned to my first love, teaching English, upon moving to Arlon in 2005. Primarily teaching Immersive English at ISMA & giving intensive exam prep classes to disadvantaged teenagers within the CPAS, Arlon.

Hoi, ik ben Kathleen. In Antwerpen volgde ik de lerarenopleiding lager onderwijs en werkte ik enkele jaren als leerkracht in het lager onderwijs. Ondertussen maak ik al een tijdje deel uit van het team bij Ludilingua en het is hier top!

As a teacher, I believe language learning should be as much a fun social and cultural experience as it is a learning experience, and LudiLingua reflects this.

Trained as an English-Spanish to French interpreter after studying Latin and Greek at Collège Saint-Joseph, Virton, I have been a keen teacher (and translator) for the last thirty years. While continuing my teaching job at UCLouvain, I joined the very friendly Ludilingua team in July 2020.

In my view, learning a language is above all about meeting other people, discovering their culture, sharing their interests. This new experience has taught me a lot personally as well as pedagogically. The aim for me is to help everyone to learn in a friendly, relaxed, and caring atmosphere.

Hallo,  ich heiße Gaby und komme ursprünglich aus Köln und lebe seit 2004 in der schönen Provinz Luxemburg. Ich bin nicht so die typisch-super-seriöse Deutsche, aber ich liebe meine Muttersprache.
Nach langen Jahren im Handel und als Chefsekretärin, unterrichte ich Deutsch bei Ludilingua.

Aufgewachsen in Attert habe ich mit 6 Jahren angefangen Deutsch zu lernen und später English, während meiner Jahre in Saint Benoît in Habay. Ich möchte meine Leidenschaft für diese Sprachen und Kulturen teilen, mit welchen ich mich intensiv, in den letzten Jahren, beschäftigt habe.

Hello, I was born in Dublin Ireland but raised and educated here in Belgium.

I’ve been a student teacher at LudiLingua since 2019 and it is thanks to LudiLingua that I want to pursue a Language Degree and eventually become a full-time English teacher.

Working here has really been eye opening for me and both the teaching experience and working atmosphere are fantastic, it is so different from regular education.

There are three main reasons why LUDILINGUA was created: a passion for languages, a wish and need to innovate and a will to answer a growing and ever more specific demand.

The origin of the LUDILINGUA concept is that learners will always better understand and remember a discipline not only if they have fun in the process, but also if this process directly covers their interests and needs.

Specifically when learning languages, what can possibly feel more natural than everyday situations? What can be more efficient than gathering together people with interests or a profession in common, with a collective or career-oriented objective?
